Books and Other Dangerous Objects

This is me. That one over there, in the green lipstick with the wand. That was me at the 2016 Harry Potter Book Night event I coordinated at my library. As you can probably guess, I'm a Slytherin.
I'm Connor. I'm a 21 year old insatiable reader, casual writer and political junkie. That pretty much sums up my three loves, and thankfully, I've found a way to combine all three in this blog. I am a fairly broad reader, although most of what I review here will be YA, a genre I hold close to my heart. There will, however, be the odd political memoir and non-fiction work, too. (Sometimes there may be literary fiction, but we'll talk about that when we get there. Mixed feelings, people. Mixed. Feelings).
I'm a proud Melbournian studying full-time, but in between, I spend my time working (in a library, of course), reading, writing and spending hours in front of Netflix. I'm also a huge advocate for readership campaigns such as #LoveOzYA and #WeNeedDiverseBooks, so fair warning. These biases will definitely shine through.
Basically, I have strong passions and strong opinions about, well, just about everything, but I'm always keen to discuss my loves, likes and loathes with others, so feel free to leave a comment or drop me a line.
P.S. The only thing I will not argue the merits of is Harry Potter. I will hear not one word against it. Someday I'll show you my HP tattoos and we can talk about hardcore fandom.
